Hell Bound Train

Migraines and meetings

Talk and negotiations

Cut and thrust

Give and take

Thrust and parry

Anger and frustration

Stupidity and intransigence

Chinese dumplings and long neck ale bottles

Beer and bloody Mary’s

Laughter and jokes

Gleaming drinks glasses

Friends and acquaintances

I punched my ticket

I didn't care about the pain

I took my seat on that hell bound train

A late, street lit stroll home

A long cold glass of water

A dead sleep

A mild headache

I punched my ticket

I didn't care about the pain

I took my seat on that hell bound train

It was well worth the morning pain

To shed the stupidity of the previous day
