Places

 

The place where I worked for twenty years is gone out of my life

 

The place where I lived for almost the same amount of time is gone out of my life

 

I now live in a place that has been lived in by other people for more than twenty years

 

We are all temporary

 

We are all just janitors of places that other people will live and work in into the future

 

Perhaps my DNA has crept between the floorboards of these places

 

But regardless, we have a duty of care for those people who are still yet to come
